Privacy policy
What Five Nines collects about you and what we do with it. Last updated October 2026.
Who we are
Five Nines is published by Better Informed World. For anything in this policy, write to privacy@thefivenines.com.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. Your email address and the date you signed up.
- Email you send us. The message, your address and any attachments.
- Visits. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you.
- Advertising. Google places ads on our pages and may use cookies to measure and personalise them. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google asks for your consent first.
How we use it
We use your email address to send the newsletter and to reply to you. We do not sell your information.
Who else receives it
Our host (Vercel), our database and email provider (Amazon Web Services) and our advertising provider (Google) process data on our behalf. When you follow an affiliate link, the shop and the link network learn that you came from us.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe. Email correspondence for up to two years.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you by writing to privacy@thefivenines.com. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
