About Five Nines
News for the people who keep enterprise systems running.
What we cover
Five Nines covers enterprise technology for the people who run and buy it: cloud platforms, security and vulnerabilities, data and AI infrastructure, networking, vendor pricing and procurement, outages and incidents.
How Five Nines is made
Five Nines starts with reporting already published elsewhere: our newsroom reads public news sources, picks stories that matter to our readers, and gathers the original reporting and at least one corroborating source. A reporter then writes a new article from those facts, in their own words, and links every source used.
Before an article is published, software checks it against its sources. A second model confirms that each factual claim appears in a source, and a text comparison confirms the article does not copy the sources' wording. Articles that fail either check are not published. Our standards explain the process in full.
